Nayala: Administrative authorities, technical services, and members of the constituted bodies of the province of Nayala launched, on Thursday in Toma, a campaign to collect contributions intended to support the organization of the second edition of the Mandatory Patriotic Immersion (IPO), scheduled from July 27 to August 26, 2026. The High Commissioner of the province of Nayala, Honore Frederic Pare, emphasized that the initiative aims to instill civic-mindedness, patriotism, discipline, and responsibility among young people.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative aligns with Burkina Faso's vision to cultivate an engaged youth invested in republican values and capable of contributing to social cohesion and national resilience. This second edition will involve the new baccalaureate graduates of the 2026 session and those from the 2025 class who missed the first edition.
The High Commissioner assured that the resources mobilized will be managed following transparency, good governance, and accountability principles. Idrissa Roko, the Provincial Director of Post-Primary, Secondary, Technical, and Vocational Education, praised the results of the 2025 pilot edition, which saw strong participation from various authorities, defense and security forces, technical services, and the population.
However, Roko noted challenges in logistics, food, accommodation, and participant supervision, highlighting the need for increased resource mobilization this year. Contributions in cash, kind, or services are expected, with the province's chief treasurer overseeing the reception of contributions.
Authorities have called upon the sons and daughters of Nayala, local authorities, economic operators, associations, civil society organizations, and partners to support this initiative. Reception and accommodation sites are set at the provincial high school in Toma, and technical services, particularly in health and security, are tasked with ensuring successful activity supervision and execution.
The meeting facilitated information harmonization regarding the 2026 edition's organization and called for strong mobilization to ensure its success.
