Ziro: The commune of Gao, in the province of Ziro, celebrated on Tuesday the anniversary of the Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) through a solemn ceremony of raising the national colors, organized by the prefect, president of the special delegation (PDS), comrade SANOGO Moumouni.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was organized on the instructions of the authorities and brought together the heads of the decentralized services of the State, representatives of the constituted bodies, the defense and security forces, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) as well as the servants of the people of the capital of the commune.

Following the military honors, the participants raised the national flag to the sound of the Ditany¨, the national anthem of Burkina Faso, in an atmosphere imbued with patriotism and unity. On this occasion, the PDS delivered to the audience the message from the Head of State, Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traor©, marking the commemoration of the anniversary of the AES Confederation.

In his message, the Head of State reaffirmed Burkina Faso's determination to pursue its path towards sovereignty, while consolidating the ideals upheld by the Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States. He also emphasized the strengthening of cooperation among the ESA member states and the shared commitment to building an area of peace, security, development, and the assertion of national sovereignty.

The ceremony concluded in a spirit of mobilization and patriotic commitment from the participants, who reaffirmed their support for the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution and the integration dynamic carried by the Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States.
