Ouagadougou: In full preparation for the Women's AFCON Morocco 2026, the Stallions women have strengthened with the arrivals of Alima Kouda (Real Meda, Italy) in Serie C and Lehna Wendkuni Taoko from Fleury 91 (France).

According to Burkina Information Agency, Alima Kouda is a 19-year-old striker born in Italy who plays for Real Meda in Serie C. She is the younger sister of Mantova (Italy) midfielder Rachid Kouda. In addition to Alima Kouda, the Burkina Faso women's national team has also signed 17-year-old Lehna Wendkuni Taoko, who plays for Fleury 91's U18 team in Ligue 1 Arkema in France.

The Burkina Faso team, which completed a 10-day training camp at the Loumbila Training and Production Center, continued its preparations in Ziniar©. Pascal Sawadogo and his players are currently in Ouagadougou for the remainder of their training and will play a final friendly match tomorrow, Thursday, before departing for Morocco for an international training camp prior to the start of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

Burkina Faso is in Group B with South Africa, Ivory Coast, and Tanzania. This is the second consecutive time the women's national team, the Stallions, have qualified for the Africa Women's Cup of Nations. The competition will be held from July 26 to August 16 in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.
