Ouagadougou: The President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, who is also the Head of State and President of the AES Confederation, was warmly welcomed in P´ on Saturday morning. He met with the administrative leaders of the Nazinon region, including Comrade Governor Massadalo Yvette Nacoulma/Sanou, to review the progress made in various sectors such as security, health, and agriculture. The discussions highlighted a positive trajectory in these areas, along with new directives from the Head of State.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the region has maintained a period of calm, attributed to the collaborative efforts of the armed forces and the active participation of the local population. This stability has been bolstered by enhancements in defense infrastructure, notably the activation of the gendarmerie squadron and the establishment of the Manga fire brigade company.
The local initiative “One Village, At Least One Motorcycle” has successfully amassed over 140 million CFA francs, facilitating the distribution of 250 motorcycles and fuel to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). This patriotic effort has been lauded by the Head of State, as noted by the Governor of Nazinon. In the realm of health and agriculture, significant strides have been made with the inauguration of the Manga Regional Hospital and the construction of community medical centers in Ti©b©l© and Kayao. Additionally, the completion of irrigation projects and the provision of agricultural inputs are expected to significantly boost cereal production to unprecedented levels.
