Ouagadougou: On the eve of the start of the mandatory patriotic immersion of new baccalaureate graduates, the High Commissioner of the Ganzourgou province, Comrade Aminata Sorgho/Gouba, urged the graduates of the 2026 baccalaureate session to approach this stage with discipline, responsibility, and commitment to the service of the nation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner addressed a message to the new high school graduates and their parents, starting with commendations for the province's results in the 2026 baccalaureate session. This success was credited to the efforts of teachers, supervisors, students, and parents, and she extended her warmest congratulations to them.
Referring to the mandatory patriotic immersion, the High Commissioner indicated that this initiative by the highest authorities of Burkina Faso constitutes "a school of civic-mindedness, discipline, responsibility and commitment to the service of the nation."
She emphasized that this experience will allow new high school graduates to strengthen their love of country, develop a spirit of solidarity, resilience, and sacrifice, which are essential values for building Burkina Faso.
Addressing the parents, she reassured them that this immersion represents an opportunity for human and civic education, aimed at forging responsible citizens who are aware of their duties and ready to contribute to the development and defense of their homeland.
The High Commissioner called on future participants to embark "with enthusiasm, serenity, and determination," while urging them to demonstrate discipline, respect for their supervisors, solidarity, and openness to the lessons they will be taught.
She also asked them to maintain an attitude marked by maturity, restraint, and wisdom, reminding them that they will be ambassadors of the Ganzourgou province at the various immersion sites.
"Through your exemplary behavior, your sense of discipline, your dedication to work and your spirit of patriotism, you have the opportunity to bring honor to your families, your schools and our province," she emphasized.
She concluded with a message to the conscripts, encouraging them to leave with the firm conviction that they will return stronger, more responsible, and more committed to the service of the nation.
The consolidated results of the first and second rounds of the 2026 baccalaureate exam show 632 successful candidates out of 856 present, representing a success rate of 73.83% in Ganzourgou. These new graduates are expected at the various patriotic immersion sites for this next stage of their civic journey.
