Abuja: The High Commissioner calls on high school graduates to make the mandatory patriotic immersion an individual and collective success

High Commissioner Sanfi©nalJoseph Sirima presided over the launch ceremony of the second edition of the mandatory patriotic immersion (IPO) this Tuesday. The event saw the presence of 223 IPO participants, 20 supervisors, provincial directors, heads of services, as well as customary and religious leaders.

According to Burkina Information Agency, High Commissioner Sanfi©nalJoseph Sirima emphasized the importance of the program, urging high school graduates to excel both individually and collectively. He highlighted the necessity of demonstrating diligence, respect for instructions, teamwork, and patriotism during the immersion. Of the 223 students summoned for the program, 221 responded to the call, as reported by the center's director, Wendwoaga Kabr©.

The ceremony featured an audio address by the President of Faso, which was broadcast to motivate the participants to commence the 30-day program with determination and commitment. The program focuses on instilling values of discipline, solidarity, civic-mindedness, resilience, love of country, and a sense of duty.

HervCoulibaly, representing the chief of Solenzo, provided a traditional blessing and entrusted the IPO recruits to the spirits of their ancestors for protection during their stay. The launch ceremony concluded with the symbolic planting of a yellow-flowered flamboyant tree by the provincial authority and several IPO recruits.
