RISA Advocates for Active Public Engagement in Burkina Faso’s Progressive Movement

Abuja: The Gathering of Intelligences for the Sovereignty of Africa (RISA) organized its regional panel in the Tannounyan region on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Sindou, focusing on the themes of the contribution of the popular masses to the Popular Progressive Revolution (PPR) and citizen vigilance against disinformation. The meeting, chaired by the High Commissioner of the province of L©raba, Yacouba Sawadogo, brought together participants from the different communes of the province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the national coordinator of RISA, Adama Siguir©, emphasized that the civil society organization, created in February 2023, aims to contribute to the sovereignty of Africa, particularly that of Burkina Faso. During the discussions, panelists Adama Siguir© and the Secretary General of RISA, Dr. Boukary N©bi©, raised awareness among participants about the role of citizens in consolidating peace, developing the country, fighting disinformation, and promoting messages favorable to social cohesion.

The speakers presented their interpretation of the achievements of the People's Progressive Revolution and invited the population to adopt responsible behaviors within the framework of civic vigilance. 'We are truly very moved by the unprecedented mobilization of the population as well as by the quality of their participation in the discussions,' stated Adama Siguir©.

The High Commissioner of the province of L©raba welcomed the choice of the province to host this regional panel. He urged the people to strengthen sincerity, solidarity, and awareness to support the country's development efforts. 'We take this opportunity to invite the people to greater sincerity, solidarity, and awareness so that together we can support the popular progressive revolution for a better Burkina Faso for the benefit of future generations,' said Yacouba Sawadogo.
