Abuja: Young people informed about the establishment of the provincial and municipal executive offices of the CNCJ-BF: The High Commissioner of the Sissili province, T©windIsaac Sia, presided over an information meeting on Thursday, July 23, 2026 in L©o, for members of youth associations and organizations in the province and municipalities, with a view to setting up local bodies of the National Consultative Youth Council of Burkina Faso (CNCJ-BF).
According to Burkina Information Agency, this session was initiated by the provincial directorate of sports, youth, and employment in Sissili. The primary aim was to present to local stakeholders the process of renewing and deploying the bodies at both the provincial level and across all the municipalities of Sissili. Participants were familiarized with the terms of the interministerial decree governing this consultative structure.
Addressing representatives of youth movements, the province's top official, T©windIsaac Sia, highlighted the strategic importance of this initiative for local governance. He encouraged the youth of Sissili to actively participate in making this body a space for constructive dialogue and action in service of socio-economic development and social cohesion.
The meeting was attended by several administrative and municipal authorities, including the Secretary General of the province, Baowinsida Bingo, the President of the Special Delegation of the municipality of L©o, Kassoum Koalaga, and the Secretary General of the town hall, Samba Zana. Kassim Napon, head of the youth and continuing education department, provided a technical presentation of the policy documents on behalf of the Provincial Director in charge of Youth for Sissili, Denis Niki¨ma.
Participants welcomed the initiative. A youth representative, speaking on behalf of local associations, expressed delight at the opportunity. He noted that the CNCJ-BF would provide a formal platform for voicing proposals and contributing effectively to addressing major challenges facing the province.
This information meeting lays the groundwork for the renewal and operational deployment of youth bodies in all the municipalities of Sissili.
