Special Delegation of Peni Presents Management Report to Citizens

Ouagadougou: The municipality of Peni organized on Thursday, July 30, 2026, a day of accountability as part of the activities of the 72 Hours of the municipality, in order to allow the municipal authorities to present their management to the people and to collect their concerns.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the activity was coordinated by the Secretary General of Houet Province, Comrade Sombeniwende Nikiema, who commended this civic initiative. Accountability, he emphasized, is both a duty for the authorities and a right for citizens, who are called upon to express their expectations and concerns.

The prefect and president of the special delegation of the commune of Peni, Comrade Moumouni Ouedraogo, presented a report on actions undertaken in the sectors of health, education, environment, security, and the economy. He also discussed the difficulties encountered and the prospects envisioned for the current year.

The discussions allowed participants to commend certain achievements of the municipality, while formulating recommendations and appeals for better consideration of the concerns of the population.

In closing the meeting, comrade Moumouni Ouedraogo expressed his gratitude to the people, the driving forces, the youth, as well as the customary and religious authorities for their support. "We thank all the people, the driving forces, the youth as well as the traditional and religious authorities for their support. The concerns expressed during this day will be carefully examined and taken into account in the future actions of the special delegation," he said.
