Ouagadougou: The regional special delegation, led by Governor Massadalo Yvette Nacoulma, held its accountability day in Manga dedicated to presenting the 2022-2025 financial year report, adopting new perspectives, and establishing an ad hoc commission to monitor recommendations.According to Burkina Information Agency, the region mobilized a total of 1,546,065,859 FCFA between 2022 and 2025, with own resources accounting for 495,057,748 FCFA. External resources amounted to 1,050,962,379 FCFA. The priority areas of local governance included health, education, socio-professional integration, humanitarian action, security, and culture.Governor Nacoulma acknowledged major challenges such as budgetary constraints, a lack of technicians in certain fields, and slow execution of some contracts. Despite these challenges, she praised the spirit of responsibility and accountability that guided the delegation's work over the past three years. She emphasized the importance of administrative transparency and direct dia logue with stakeholders for the development of the Nazinon region.The regional delegation's performance was considered generally satisfactory by stakeholders, given the national and local context. To consolidate achievements, several recommendations were made, focusing on resource mobilization and strengthening synergy among stakeholders. A five-member commission was established to monitor the implementation of these recommendations.Speakers highlighted the need to prioritize actions with a strong social impact to effectively meet the region's population's expectations. The accountability day serves as a platform for transparency, participation, and evaluation of public actions in Nazinon, fostering exchanges between regional authorities and development actors around achieved results and upcoming challenges.
