High Commissioner of Loroum Province Highlights Achievements at Monthly Flag-Raising Ceremony

Ouagadougou: The High Commissioner of Loroum Province, Captain Djibril Bassol©, presided over the traditional monthly flag-raising ceremony in Titao, emphasizing the province's achievements and future plans. The ceremony, held on August 3, 2026, showcased the community's commitment to patriotism and civic duty despite the challenges posed by the rainy season.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Captain Djibril Bassol© expressed satisfaction with the educational advancements in the province, particularly highlighting the 50% success rate in the recent baccalaureate exams. He congratulated the community on these results and expressed hope for hosting the baccalaureate jury in Titao starting in 2027.

In the health sector, the High Commissioner urged parents to take advantage of the seasonal malaria chemoprevention campaign, stressing the importance of vaccinating children during the malaria season. He also reiterated the province's commitment to welcoming and supporting internally displaced persons, emphasizing the humanitarian priority given to Loroum in 2026 with anticipated support for recovery efforts.

On security matters, Captain Bassol© commended the efforts of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), acknowledging their significant contributions to maintaining peace and security in the region.
