Ouagadougou: The High Commissioner of Namentenga Province, Adama Conseiga, presided over the monthly flag-raising ceremony on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Boulsa health district headquarters. During the ceremony, he expressed his gratitude for the financial support provided by the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions (FEME) to those participating in the Mandatory Patriotic Immersion (IPO) program in Kaya.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony saw strong attendance from members of the constituted bodies, who listened to speeches from the chief medical officer of the Boulsa health district, Dr. Emile Compaor, and High Commissioner Adama Conseiga. FEME presented a financial contribution of 50,000 FCFA to young individuals from the province enrolled in the IPO program, an act of solidarity that was acknowledged and appreciated by the High Commissioner.
Dr. Compaor addressed concerns over social media rumors affecting the seasonal malaria chemoprevention campaign conducted from July 23 to 26, 2026, which hindered the campaign's expected outcomes. The provincial director of Agriculture, Mamadou Sidib, highlighted issues related to unapproved agricultural inputs in the local market, emphasizing the potential risks to health and the environment.
In response to these challenges, the High Commissioner issued a warning to those engaging in these practices, describing them as detrimental to the community. The provincial director of Youth, Sports, and Employment, Pengdwend Joseph Sawadogo, encouraged participation in a support-advisory session on the formalization of economic units and informal jobs, scheduled for August 6, 2026, in Boulsa.
Adama Conseiga urged community support for the construction of the perimeter wall at the Boulsa Medical Center with surgical unit, encouraging greater involvement in upcoming malaria prevention efforts, and advising residents to seek guidance from agriculture and livestock technical services.
The ceremony concluded with the High Commissioner paying tribute to the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), urging the constituted bodies to offer their support through prayers.
