Tuy: The president of the Regional Cell of Compulsory Patriotic Immersion (IPO) of Guiriko, Comrade Governor Mariama Konat/Gnanou, visited the Hound'C' public primary school on Monday, August 10, 2026, to observe the training of conscripts from the province of Tuy.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Governor Konat/Gnanou, accompanied by members of the Guiriko Regional IPO Cell and local authorities, aimed to evaluate the training progress, motivate the supervisors and trainers, and deliver a message from the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor, and the government. The governor called on trainers and supervisors to "give their best" to ensure high-quality training for the recruits, urging them to follow the training meticulously and fully commit, as they represent "the hope of Burkina Faso."
Governor Konat/Gnanou emphasized the importance of cultivating solidarity, integrity, and loyalty among the conscripts, both to themselves and to their country. She highlighted the critical role of the youth in building a "new Burkina Faso," destined to become "the mirror of Africa." The governor stressed that "Burkina Faso rests on their shoulders," urging the young recruits to understand the magnitude of their responsibility and work towards creating the future they envision for their nation.
During the event, the recruits demonstrated some of the skills they had acquired in the first two weeks of their training, showcasing their dedication and progress.
