Ouagadougou: The staff of the Burkina Faso Phosphate Mining Company (SEPB) marked their commitment to the presidential initiative 'Faso Mebo' by presenting, on the occasion of the company's open days, a donation worth 1,300,000 FCFA at the headquarters of the Faso Mbo Agency in Koupla.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this donation includes 45 tons of granite, 225 liters of release oil in 10 containers, two 50-meter hoses, five wheelbarrows, 20 shovels, and 25 helmets, along with additional equipment, totaling 1,300,000 FCFA. It is intended to enhance the material resources of the Faso Mbo Agency in Kourittenga.
The handover ceremony was attended by the High Commissioner of the province of Kourittenga, Comrade Moctar Ilboudo, the First Vice-President of the Special Delegation of the commune of Koupla, Comrade Fran§ois Xavier Nikiema, and various guests and actors involved in Faso Mebo activities.
Jean Oudraogo, the Director General of SEPB, emphasized the staff's aim to contribute concretely to the presidential initiative. He expressed that the donation demonstrates their commitment to supporting the initiative and participating in this national movement.
Jean Oudraogo also urged other organizations and stakeholders in the province to emulate SEPB's example by contributing to Faso Mebo. He encouraged everyone to participate in the development and beautification of the province.
Fran§ois Xavier Nikiema, the first vice-president of the Special Delegation of Koupla, applauded SEPB's contribution, describing it as a civic gesture. He highlighted the role businesses and organizations can play in development efforts within communities.
The High Commissioner of Kourittenga Province, Moctar Ilboudo, conveyed his gratitude to SEPB staff for their support. He assured that the donated equipment would be utilized effectively to support Faso Mebo's activities in Kourittenga.
Through this contribution, SEPB aims to contribute to a cleaner, more attractive, and better-developed Kourittenga. The donation is expected to bolster the operational capacities of the Faso Mebo Agency in Kourittenga and further the momentum of beautification projects in the province.
