Nayala: Toma Town Hall Hosts the Rotating Raising of the National Colors in a Display of Patriotism

Ouagadougou: The constituted bodies of the Nayala province, led by the High Commissioner, Honor Frdric Par, proceeded on Monday to raise the national colors at the Toma town hall. This monthly ceremony served as a framework for reaffirming republican values, institutional cohesion, and patriotic commitment in service to the people.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event took place within the grounds of the Toma town hall, in the presence of administrative, customary, and religious authorities, officials from provincial, departmental, and municipal services, defense and security forces, Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), as well as representatives of associations, NGOs, and development projects, starting at 7:30 a.m.

After the national anthem was played, the president of the Special Delegation of the municipality of Toma, Zakaria Sawadogo, praised the strong mobilization of the participants. He emphasized that the raising of the colors has become a true moment of patriotic unity and administrative fraternity. According to him, this tradition helps to strengthen the spirit of public service, consolidate republican discipline, and reinforce collaborative ties between government departments.

Comrade Sawadogo also paid tribute to the FDS and the VDP for their commitment to defending the integrity of the national territory. Speaking in turn, the High Commissioner, Honor Frdric Par, recalled that this ceremony constitutes a moment of gathering around the symbols of the Nation and the ideals of the progressive and popular Revolution. He stressed the need for public officials to remain models of civic-mindedness, loyalty, and dedication to the service of the State.

Comrade Par also announced that the next rotating raising of the national colors is scheduled for September 7, 2026, at the Provincial Directorate of Taxes of Nayala. This rotating raising of the colors confirms the desire of the provincial authorities to make republican ceremonies spaces for citizen mobilization, strengthening of administrative cohesion, and promotion of patriotic values in all public administrations of Nayala.
