Sourou/assumption: The Christians of Tougan commemorated the Feast of the Assumption on Saturday, August 15, 2026, marking the end of the earthly life of the mother of Jesus and her ascension, body and soul, into heaven in the glory of God. On this occasion, Father Abraham Zerbo, the officiating priest, entrusted the protection of the Sourou province and all of Burkina Faso to the Virgin Mary.
