Around Twenty Terrorists Neutralized in Coordinated Burkina Faso Operation

Hanoi: The Combat Forces neutralized approximately twenty terrorists during a coordinated operation conducted on July 21, 2026, in the Sollobo area, Titao commune. Among these criminals were three of their leaders, including Khalidou Tall, alias Yro, alias Wahilou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the offensive by the Combat Forces, conducted on the morning of July 21, 2026, targeted a major group of terrorists established in the Sollobo area.

In addition to neutralizing around twenty criminals, it enabled the recovery of significant logistical resources, including vehicles, weapons, ammunition, cash and various equipment.

Among the three neutralized leaders is Khalidou Tall, alias Yro, alias Wahilou, originally from Sim, in the commune of Thiou, Yatenga province. Active in the Yaadga region, Khalidou Tall led a group tasked with carrying out attacks against the Combatant Forces. He planned and participated in several violent actions in the Lorum and Yatenga provinces.

His group was notably involved in the ambush set on July 21, 2026, against the Soll supply convoy. This skillfully executed operation deprives the active factions of the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (GSIM) of one of their operational leaders.

Let us recall that on July 25, 2026, about fifteen terrorists and several of their leaders, including Sangar Barry Manga (32 years old), were neutralized during an offensive by patriots in the Kinsr forest, Barani commune, Koosin province. The cascading elimination of terrorist masterminds will surely allow the fighting forces, engaged under the command of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Captain Ibrahim Traor, to get closer to their ultimate goal: the restoration of peace and security throughout Burkina Faso.
