Governor Pierre Babo Bassinga Encourages Koosin Conscripts to Embody Civic Values in Daily Life

Hanoi: The Governor of the Bankuy region, Pierre Babo Bassinga, visited the Koosin Provincial High School on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, where the province's conscripts are participating in a patriotic immersion program. He encouraged them to put into practice the civic and patriotic values they have acquired during this program.

According to Burkina Information Agency, accompanied by the High Commissioner of the province of Koosin, Noufo Dembl, Governor Babo Pierre Bassinga engaged with the conscripts, commending their commitment to this initiative dedicated to civic duty and patriotism. On behalf of the conscripts, Ir¨ne Dao expressed gratitude to the Governor for his presence and thanked the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor, for his vision, as well as the provincial authorities and supervisors.

"We will put into practice the civic and patriotic values received during this immersion," promised Ir¨ne Dao, representing the conscripts. The High Commissioner of Koosin expressed appreciation for the Governor's visit and congratulated all contributors to the successful execution of the patriotic immersion in the province.

Governor Bassinga also congratulated the conscripts on their success in the Baccalaureate exam and expressed satisfaction with the reception he received. He provided the young people with an overview of current geopolitical issues to enhance their understanding of the motivations behind the patriotic immersion initiative. According to Babo Pierre Bassinga, this understanding should enable them to better grasp why the President of Faso initiated this activity.

The Governor urged the conscripts to make the lessons received a part of their daily lives by putting into practice the civic and patriotic values acquired during their stay. He wished them success in their studies and encouraged them to remain undeterred by any challenges they might face.

Following the speeches, the delegation planted three seedlings with the participation of the conscripts. They also visited the infirmary, encouraged the cooks, and shared a meal with the participants of the patriotic immersion. Concluding the visit, Governor Pierre Babo Bassinga left with satisfaction, emphasizing civic, patriotic commitment, and academic success.
