Ouagadougou: Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received in audience on Monday in Algiers the Malian Prime Minister, Major General Abdoulaye Maga, who carried a message from the President of the Transition of Mali, Army General Assimi Gota, to his Algerian counterpart.

According to Burkina Information Agency, at the end of the meeting, the head of the Malian government reaffirmed the two countries' desire to strengthen their cooperation, stating that "Mali and Algeria are destined to walk together, destined to work towards prosperity for both peoples."

This meeting is part of the Malian Prime Minister's working visit to Algeria. Earlier in the day, Major General Abdoulaye Maga paid his respects at the Martyrs' Monument in Algiers.
