Ouagadougou: The Movement of Patriotic Artisans (MAP) of the Nakamb region held a panel discussion on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in Koupla, under the theme: 'The Popular Progressive Revolution at the Heart of Craftsmanship, a Source of Economic and Social Revitalization for Socio-Professional Actors.' The ceremony was presided over by the Governor of the Nakamb region, Yiy Abraham Somdo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the objective of the panel of patriotic artisans is to contribute to the economic empowerment and capacity building of actors in national development, promotion and innovation of local products. During this panel initiated by the Patriotic Artisans Movement (MAP), participants benefited from communication on the Popular Progressive Revolution (PPR), on business opportunities and financing, on reforms and on security awareness.

Morou Belemgnegr, representative of the Movement of Patriotic Artisans (MAP) of Nakamb, explained that this panel consists of exchanges between actors in the field so that the activities in the field can respect and truly reflect the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution. "It is also about encouraging those involved in the field to work on enhancing and promoting our local products, which we produce and consume locally," he added.

The representative of the sponsors, El hadj Souleymane Sana, welcomed the initiative and invited the actors in this field to work to innovate in accordance with the ideals of the RPP so that handicrafts truly constitute the foundation of national development.

Governor Yiy Abraham Somdo expressed his appreciation for the panel, emphasizing its importance for reflecting on the future of crafts and the alliance between crafts and the RPP.
