Ouagadougou: The National Collective of Life and Earth Sciences (SVT) Teachers of Burkina Faso made a contribution on Saturday to the Faso Mbo Agency, through a donation of ten cans of formwork oil, with an estimated value of over 200,000 FCFA, in order to respond to the call for mobilization for the construction of the Fatherland.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this donation, which is a response to the call for mobilization by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor, reflects the desire of science teachers to contribute, in their own way, to the building of the nation, said the teachers' representative, Samand Kafando.

Comrade Kafando noted that the choice of used motor oil meets the needs expressed by Faso Mbo. "We spoke with the leaders of Faso Mbo who indicated that used motor oil was currently one of their priority needs. We therefore decided to direct our contribution towards the purchase of ten cans," he explained.

Through this gesture, the science teachers also intend to call on their colleagues and other subjects to become more involved in actions in favor of the development of Burkina Faso.

He emphasized the importance of education in the development of society, stating, "Education is the basis of all development," and highlighting that a good education helps to find solutions to the various ills that plague society.

The National Collective of Life and Earth Sciences Teachers brings together teachers spread across the entire national territory, with cells at the national, regional, and provincial levels. The structure, which was recently created, is still in a phase of being set up and is working towards its official recognition, said Samand Kafando.
