Ouagadougou: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Samogohiri, Pascal Bouda, embarked on a tour on Thursday, August 27, 2026, to assess agropastoral activities across various localities in the commune.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this visit provided an opportunity for the delegation to engage with producers benefiting from technical services support. In the Kk district, the delegation visited a poultry farm where the owner expressed gratitude for the assistance received in health and nutritional monitoring. The delegation also observed significant progress by a farmer near Samogohiri involved in assisted natural regeneration, fodder production, and cocoa cultivation. Forestry officials highlighted the positive outcomes on the supervised plantations.
The tour proceeded along the Samogohiri-Saraba axis, where farms cultivating maize, sweet potatoes, and cowpeas presented promising harvest prospects. The women's cooperative's demonstration farm was notably praised for its performance. In Saraba, the PDS urged producers, including community security agents engaged in agriculture, to enhance their organization to boost their contribution to food self-sufficiency.
Concluding the visit, Pascal Bouda commended the technical services for their support and encouraged producers to maintain their collaboration with support structures to sustainably enhance yields.
