IDL Mobilizes Members for Faso Mbo and Donates 200 Curb Molds

Ouagadougou: The Local Development Assistance Initiative (IDL) mobilized its members and supporters on Sunday at the Faso Mbo provincial site in Ro for a working session dedicated to the making of paving stones, coupled with a donation of 200 curb molds. This activity is part of the dynamic of citizen engagement and endogenous development advocated by the IDL since its creation in 2017.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the association's executive secretary, Souleymane Bako, who is also a lawyer at the court, emphasized that this mobilization reflects the desire of the sons and daughters of Sangui to take part in the building of their province and the nation. He clarified that local development should be understood as endogenous development, highlighting that the IDL was born from the desire of a number of sons of Sangui to contribute to the building of their province.

Comrade Bako noted that this action represents a new step in supporting Faso Mbo, mentioning the association's previous donation of 10 tons of cement to Faso Mbo on July 31, 2025, in Ouagadougou, as well as its contribution of 5,150,000 FCFA at the launch of Faso Mbo Sangui on June 13, 2026. He called upon members, supporters, and all willing to support the initiative to actively participate in the work.

Michel Kabr, the provincial coordinator of Faso Mbo Sangui, expressed his joy at this mobilization and praised IDL's ongoing support since the launch of Faso Mbo's activities in the province, culminating in the donation of 200 border molds. He emphasized the collective effort required to build the province and thanked all supporters of Faso Mbo Sangui.

The working session was attended by the Minister of Justice, Edasso Rodrigue Bayala, a native of the area, and the Secretary General of the Government, Ousmane Ouattara. Ouattara commended this civic initiative, stating that since the State cannot do everything, it is up to citizens to engage in such actions to contribute to the country's economic and social development. He expressed hope for a "snowball effect" from the IDL initiative and assured government support for the sustainability of such efforts.
