Ouagadougou: The regional director of Agriculture, Animal Resources and Fisheries for Nakamb, Germain Aim Traor, presented the Faso Mbo agency with a consignment of equipment worth 327,500 CFA francs on Tuesday in Tenkodogo. He led a delegation of several of his colleagues.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation, which includes bags of cement, cans of oil, pairs of gloves, and sekalite, is aimed at supporting the beautification work of the city of Tenkodogo. Traor expressed his satisfaction in representing the public administration, emphasizing the significance of this contribution.
The regional director mentioned that this donation resulted from an internal mobilization of his staff, who were eager to show their support for the presidential initiative. "It is the contribution of all the employees who wished to support Faso Mbo," he emphasized.
Additionally, the head of the institution and his staff actively participated in the work of making and laying paving stones, aligning with the spirit of volunteerism promoted by the agency responsible for urban development. "We wanted to put our money where our mouth is, by choosing not to limit ourselves to just handing over the equipment, but by getting our hands dirty ourselves," explained Traor.
This gesture, according to the regional director, is a response to the authorities' call for citizen participation in the beautification of Burkina Faso's cities. He extended an invitation to other decentralized structures and individuals willing to join this initiative. "The call has been made. Faso Mbo is everyone's business. We are all Burkinab¨ and Tenkodogo belongs to all of us," he declared.
