Ouagadougou: The people of the commune of Zambo, in the province of Ioba, mobilized on Sunday, September 6, 2026, the second day of the National Vector Control Days (JN - LAV) for a maintenance and sanitation operation of public roads. The operation covered the sections linking the new Health and Social Promotion Centre (CSPS) to the gendarmerie and the section going from the town hall to Gbongo Zodoum, passing through the old CSPS.
According to Burkina Information Agency, equipped with shovels, hoes, wheelbarrows, and other tools, the participants proceeded to dredge and clean the areas where stagnant water is likely to promote the proliferation of mosquitoes and the formation of larval habitats. The president of the special municipal delegation of Zambo, Tassr Badini, and the constituted bodies took part in the work alongside the populations and the various actors mobilized.
Comrade Badini commended the remarkable mobilization of the population and congratulated them on their commitment to this cleanup operation. He encouraged them to maintain good hygiene and sanitation practices on a daily basis.
