Ouagadougou: The population of Kidbi is mobilizing to rehabilitate the road leading to Dassui: The population of Kidbi, in the commune of Dialgaye, mobilized on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, for the rehabilitation of the road linking their village to Dassui, which is in an advanced state of disrepair causing numerous risks for users.

According to Burkina Information Agency, equipped with various materials, including shovels, picks, carts, and tricycles, the inhabitants of Kidbi undertook to fill the holes and repair the most deteriorated parts of the road. This community initiative signifies the residents' proactive approach to tackling the pressing issue.

The president of the citizen watch and resident of Kidbi, Issaka Oubda, emphasized that this mobilization reflects the will of the population not to remain passive in the face of difficulties. 'We are here this morning to improve this road which is causing us a lot of problems. We mobilized to make our contribution, rather than waiting for others to do it for us. I thank the population for their dedication,' he said.

For his part, Kidbi's second deputy youth, Ousseni Oubda, called on the authorities to support the efforts of the population because the current state of the road requires more resources for sustainable rehabilitation. His appeal underscores the need for external assistance to ensure long-term improvements.

The municipal coordinator of citizen monitoring in Dialgaye, Kassoum Oubda, invited the population to strengthen their solidarity and commitment to local development. This call to action aims to foster a sense of unity and collective responsibility among residents.
