Ouagadougou: The municipality of Gounghin is rehabilitating the road linking the center to the villages of Dakonsin and Kougdo. The municipality of Gounghin carried out rehabilitation work on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, on the main road linking Gounghin centre to the villages of Dakonsin and Kougdo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the rehabilitation of the main road was made possible thanks to the contribution of the people who donated cement and other materials needed for the work. Pierre Twend Dayama, a native of the village of Dakonsin, expressed satisfaction with the work, stating that it has given a new look to the only road connecting Dakonsin to the city centre. He encouraged the community to continue their voluntary contributions towards local development.

His Majesty Naaba Kib-Yaoga of Gounghin appreciated the initiative, offering his blessings for greater solidarity and commitment from the residents in support of development efforts. Fran§ois Xavier Lessogo, President of the special delegation of the commune of Gounghin, commended the community for their role in mobilizing machinery and materials, which facilitated the road's rehabilitation. He urged the community to maintain their commitment to solidarity and development, advocating for the endogenous development promoted by the nation's leaders in the context of the Popular Progressive Revolution.
