Ouagadougou: The Boussougoula association of Daka, in the Sourou province, launched its 13th anniversary commemorative activities on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Tougan. The ceremony, presided over by the High Commissioner of Sourou, D©sir© Badolo, was attended by the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the Tougan commune, Ouigou Tiendr©b©ogo.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the association, Aboubacar Banazaro, reaffirmed his organization's commitment to working towards improving healthcare services and the well-being of the population. The commemorative activities, scheduled from September 10 to 12, 2026, will be marked by several social actions, including a free eye screening campaign, a cash donation to support the rehabilitation of the morgue at the Tougan Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA), a contribution to the Faso Mªbo Agency, a sanitation day, and a conference aimed at generating more membership in the association's social mutual.
'We are celebrating this 13th anniversary to emphasize the promotion of health, hygiene, social cohesion and the strengthening of the social mutual. We will work harder to offer quality services to the population of Sourou,' said Banazaro.
The High Commissioner of Sourou, D©sir© Badolo, congratulated the association for its thirteen years of activity and praised its initiative to celebrate this anniversary. 'We express our solidarity and support for Boussougoula, one of the active associations in the province. It is also fully compliant with current regulations. This is what is expected of any association,' stated the province's top official.
He further encouraged associations that are not yet in compliance with Law 011 to take the necessary steps to regularize their situation and to carry out visible activities for the benefit of the population, following the example of the Boussougoula association in Daka.
Created on September 13, 2013, the Boussougoula association of Daka intervenes mainly in the fields of health, women's empowerment and humanitarian action.
