Ouagadougou: Students from Guiriko have been invited to engage as active participants in the mental rearmament initiative following a dialogue session organized by the Regional Directorate of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training. This event focused on enhancing understanding of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) and its impact on the youth.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in the presence of significant figures such as the Minister of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training, Professor Moumouni Zoungrana, and the Governor of the Guiriko region, Mariama Konat/Gnanou. Over the course of nearly two hours, various panelists, including Lieutenant-Colonel Lassan Porgo, the Commander of the 2nd Military Region, and the Director General of the Municipal Police, among others, shared their insights on the RPP's foundations and its implications for the youth.

Professor Zoungrana highlighted the importance of understanding the revolution's purpose for young people, emphasizing the connections between the RPP's core principles and the practical realities within schools. The event, moderated by Tanga Oudraogo, focused on themes such as civic responsibility, vocational training, and national sovereignty, aiming to align educational reforms with the needs and aspirations of students.

During the session, students were encouraged to voice their concerns and understand their role in the ongoing reforms. Participants in the mandatory patriotic immersion program received Telecel connection kits, enhancing their connectivity. Each attendee also received a copy of the RPP Manifesto, underscoring the Directorate's commitment to fostering a comprehensive understanding of the Popular Progressive Revolution's ideals and encouraging active participation.
