Kourittenga: The population of the village of Sampaongho is rehabilitating the Sampaongho-Boumdoudoum-Zougou road. The population of the village of Sampaongho, in the commune of Gounghin, undertook, this Tuesday, September 15, 2026, community rehabilitation work on the road linking Sampaongho to the village of Boumdoudoum-zougou, thanks to the mobilization and voluntary contribution of the population.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was led by the residents of Sampaongho, who gathered resources and manpower to repair the deteriorated road connecting their village to Boumdoudoum-zougou. Equipped with shovels, wheelbarrows, tricycles, and materials such as sand, wild pebbles, and cement, the community members worked collaboratively to fill in the damaged sections of this crucial road.

Participants in the initiative stated that the citizen mobilization aims to facilitate the movement of people and goods between the two localities. Additionally, it aligns with the call from the President of Faso, Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traore, encouraging community initiatives for endogenous development. The residents also expressed their hope for governmental support to achieve a lasting rehabilitation of the roads, which would enhance the mobility conditions for the population.
