Ouagadougou: Citizen mobilization made it possible to rehabilitate approximately three kilometers of road on the Zkuy-Dakuy axis on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, as part of the ongoing actions of "Let's Build the Country", with the participation of the people of Doumbala and surrounding villages.

According to Burkina Information Agency, men, women, young people, and children actively participated in the road rehabilitation efforts. They utilized tricycles, four-wheeled carts, and two-wheeled carts to transport branches, earth, and pieces of rock to fill and level the holes. This collective effort highlighted the community's commitment to improving their infrastructure.

Paul Dakuyo, serving at the Doumbala Basic Education District (CEB), expressed his appreciation for the initiative and thanked all participants. "The road to development passes through the development of the road. If there is a good road, all development is possible. Given the mobilization for the occasion, we can believe in the union of the sons and daughters of the locality to initiate development," he remarked.

On behalf of the teachers of the CCEB, Bta Tamini encouraged the community to continue supporting the dynamic of the Popular Progressive Revolution. This sentiment was echoed by Bouda Dembel, head of the organizing committee, who expressed satisfaction with the community's turnout. He highlighted the financial challenges faced, stating, "We lack the financial resources to refuel the tricycles. We ask all people of goodwill for support to continue our activities."

Eloi Dakio, vice-president of the special delegation, emphasized the importance of using available resources to improve the roads while awaiting more permanent solutions like paving or asphalt installation. "We hope our pleas will be heard. Strengthening security is our primary concern," Dakio stated, underscoring the broader implications of improved infrastructure for community safety and development.
