Zondoma: Striker Claude Tuina delivers the maracana tournament trophy to his team, FC Yaoho FC Yaho1 won the cup of the 5th edition of the maracana tournament of the Association of Students and Former Students of Fobiri for Development (AEAEFD) with a score of 1-0 against FC Danou, on Sunday, September 13, 2026 in the said village.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this final took place in the presence of Ousmane Zizien, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Yaho municipality, who presided over the ceremony and was the guest of honor, as well as representatives from all socio-professional sectors of the Yaho department. A warm and enthusiastic crowd came from the municipalities of Bana and Yaho to enjoy the friendly atmosphere.

This tournament concluded with FC Yaho1, dressed in white, defeating FC Danou, in yellow, 1-0 thanks to a magnificent header from Claude Tuina in the first half. The score remained unchanged in the second half.

The winning team left with the trophy plus an envelope containing 75,000 CFA francs, sets of jerseys, medals, two balls and other special prizes.

The PDS congratulated and encouraged the people of Fobiri and the AEAEFD for organizing this maracana tournament, which will promote football talent. According to the PDS, this initiative aligns with the principles of the Popular Progressive Revolution. The PDS also urged them to increase their efforts in promoting social cohesion.

The president of the AEAEFD, Issa Blegnan, welcomed the participation of the surrounding villages in the tournament and expressed his deep gratitude to the authorities mobilized for this purpose.

The organizing committee gave special recognition to the key partners who worked to make the event a success.

Ousseni Sawadogo, commander of the gendarmerie brigade of the Yaho department and his team were thanked by the AEAEFD.
