Namentenga: Teachers gathered in Boulsa for the opening of the annual Pedagogical Animation Days (JAP), led by High Commissioner Adama Conseiga. The event, which commenced on September 16, 2026, celebrated the introduction of two industrial programs at Jan Vervoot Technical and Vocational High School.According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial director of Secondary Education and Technical and Vocational Training, Sibiri Abdoulaye Yarbanga, highlighted that this marks the first year the F3 and F4 industrial-oriented courses are being offered at the high school. Additionally, two multipurpose establishments, the provincial high school and the municipal high school of Boulsa, have been established.The academic success rates in the region are promising, with 87.23% in the CAP, 76.06% in the BEP, 61.40% in the baccalaureate, and 54.06% in the BEPC. To maintain and improve these results, the High Commissioner encouraged teachers to use the three-day event to enhance their skills and teaching methods .Discussions during the event covered a range of topics, including multipurpose establishments, school councils, modular teaching, civic and citizenship education, and professional approaches. Secondary school inspector Pauline Balma, head of the educational support department, praised the JAP as an essential platform for teacher development.The Jan Vervoot Technical and Vocational High School, originally established as a manual center by the NGO Plan International in 1982, evolved into its current form with support from Dr. Jan Vervoot and Colonel Laurent Sdogo. High Commissioner Conseiga acknowledged the teachers' dedication and urged them to continue their efforts to overcome educational challenges. He also encouraged parents to enroll their children in the new industrial programs. The school now operates as a regional public institution.
