Boulsa:The best students and teachers from primary and secondary schools in Boulsa were honored during a ceremony dedicated to academic excellence. The event took place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in the presence of Adama Conseiga, the High Commissioner of Namentenga Province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was held under the patronage of Minister-Counselor Samuel Kalkoumdo, with representation by Souleymane Zinaba. The event focused on the theme: "School excellence and resilience: building the future of our community together."
Students who excelled in various exams, including the Primary School Certificate (CEP), Junior Secondary School Certificate (BEPC), Vocational Studies Certificate (BEP), Vocational Aptitude Certificate (CAP), and the A and D series baccalaureate degrees, were awarded prizes and certificates. Sixteen top-performing primary students from the 2026 CEP exam received bicycles and school kits, while four teachers were honored with certificates and tablets for their exceptional results.
In secondary education, outstanding students in the BEPC, CAP, BEP, and Baccalaureate exams were recognized, along with the best teachers in general and technical education, who received tablets and certificates. A special prize was awarded to Saidou Madi Savadogo for his resilience as a teacher.
Adama Conseiga emphasized that this initiative encourages effort and pursuit of excellence in schools. He expressed hope that Boulsa's example would inspire other areas in Namentenga Province to promote quality education. He congratulated all award recipients, teachers, parents, and the special municipal delegation for their contributions, calling for continued support to sustain and expand the initiative.
Issaka Sangla, president of Boulsa's special municipal delegation, stated that the ceremony aims to enhance the resilience of educational actors and motivate them towards achieving better academic results. He emphasized the importance of improving resilience to build a stronger community in Boulsa.
Graduate spokesperson Zalissa Lallogo, who achieved an average of 17.62/20 in the BEPC exam, expressed gratitude to teachers, parents, and supporters. She encouraged those not selected this year to continue striving, believing their time will come.
The ceremony concluded with blessings for the awardees and participants by the chief of Bonkin, representing the chief of the canton of Boulsa.
