Bingo:Lieutenant Hortencia Virginie Kando has officially taken over as head of the Departmental Water and Forestry Service from Lieutenant Olivier Bayili.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the handover ceremony was held in the town hall reception hall on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The event was attended by a distinguished group, including the President of the Special Delegation, the Provincial Director of Water and Forests, members of the gendarmerie, and numerous heads of departmental and municipal services. Traditional and religious authorities of Bingo were also present.

Lieutenant Olivier Bayili, after several years of service, handed over his position to his successor. The new head of department, Lieutenant Kando, was installed by Yacouba Gouem, President of the Special Delegation. She expressed gratitude to her predecessor and affirmed her commitment to continuing ongoing initiatives with an emphasis on collaboration with the staff.

The audience offered their congratulations to Lieutenant Kando and wished her success in her new role. Lieutenant Bayili also received best wishes for his future endeavors, acknowledging his commitment and dedication to the service.

This transition marks a new chapter for the management of Water and Forests in Bingo, now under the leadership of Lieutenant Hortencia Virginie Kando.
