Koudougou:Ibrahima Sawadogo, a French teacher at the Kadiogo Military Academy, has successfully defended his doctoral thesis in educational sciences at Norbert Zongo University, achieving the distinction of "Very Honorable."

According to Burkina Information Agency, Sawadogo's research focused on evaluating the professional skills of French teachers in Burkina Faso, particularly concerning the study of complete works in post-primary and secondary schools. The thesis, supervised by Dr. Lingani, explored teaching practices and their evaluation.

The jury, chaired by Professor Fran§ois Sawadogo, highlighted the thesis's methodology for assessing teacher skills and its potential to improve education quality. Dr. Lingani praised the research's relevance, noting that evaluating teacher skills is an underexplored area.

The thesis director commended Sawadogo's resilience in balancing his research with professional duties over three years. He encouraged the dissemination of Sawadogo's findings to avoid them being overlooked and to serve as a reference for future research.

Sawadogo discussed his study's aim to identify and address shortcomings in teaching practices, proposing models for improvement. He noted challenges encountered, such as resistance during classroom observations, and expressed intentions to continue his research to enhance teaching in Burkina Faso.

He expressed gratitude to the jury members, including Professor Joseph Beogo and rapporteurs Dr. Dsir Poudiougo and Dr. Ibrahima Traor, for their support throughout his doctoral journey.
