Ouagadougou:Kourittenga: As the 2026-2027 school year approaches, the Provincial Director of Secondary Education in Kourittenga, Dieudonn Belemsigri, has provided an optimistic overview of the district's educational performance and outlined key priorities for the upcoming academic year.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Dieudonn Belemsigri expressed satisfaction with the continuous improvement in exam pass rates over the past three years. He reported that the current success rates stand at 50% for all secondary school exams, 60% for the Baccalaureate, and over 80% for exams like the CAP. These achievements were highlighted as historic for the Kourittenga province.

The province has also excelled nationally, securing five national prizes during the National Day of Excellence, with notable performances in the BEPC, Baccalaureate series A and D, and CAP. Additionally, a student from Kourittenga achieved first place in chemistry in the Hakili Mousso national competition with an impressive average score of over 18/20.

Administratively, the academic year commenced smoothly on September 15, with successful student placement in various grades and the completion of staff allocation processes. The government has invested in capacity building through pedagogical training for teachers and workshops for school administrators to enhance educational management.

In line with national initiatives, Belemsigri noted the implementation of school uniforms made from local traditional fabric. He also urged parents to actively participate in school activities and monitor their children's academic progress.
