Ouagadougou: The Special Delegation (DS) of the municipality of Ziniar is examining, from September 21 to 24, 2026, its second amending budget of the fiscal year, with several priorities, including the rehabilitation of the Ziga primary school, the equipping of the CSPS in sector no. 5 and the development of market spaces.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Meeting in the town hall's function room, the 3rd ordinary session of the DS aims primarily to adapt the municipality's budget forecasts to new needs and certain unforeseen events.
The rehabilitation of the Ziga school is among the urgent matters being considered. The school, which has suffered significant damage, needs to be renovated to allow for a better start to the school year.
"The school had suffered significant damage which required an urgent response from the town hall, as we are on the eve of the start of the school year," explained the president of the Special Delegation (PDS), Florent Tingani Dabone.
The members of the DS are also examining a draft resolution concerning the equipment for the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) in sector no. 5, which is currently under construction.
The municipality also plans to develop several commercial spaces. These facilities are intended, in particular, to accommodate vendors displaced from the areas surrounding public roads.
"The aim is to allow those evicted from the roadside to have more secure trading sites to carry out their activities peacefully," said Mr. Dabone.
The delegates also discussed the municipality's participation in the Faso Mªbo initiative. The DS (Directorate of Social Development) is considering a contribution of between four and five million CFA francs for this purpose.
The members also considered a resolution concerning the change of municipal stamps, a measure presented as aimed at strengthening their security and preventing fraud.
The session also looked at actions related to the Presidential Initiative for Community Development, with the aim of supporting local development projects.
Citizens, including representatives of people living with disabilities, attended the proceedings. For Ren Ilboudo, president of the Municipal Council of People Living with Disabilities, this participation allows citizens to better understand how the town hall operates and how municipal projects are implemented.
At the conclusion of the proceedings, the PDS called on the population to trust the Special Delegation and assured them that the actions undertaken were in the collective interest. He also wished all those involved in education a good and fruitful school year.
"The needs are unlimited and the resources are limited," he acknowledged.
