Bahrain and US Discuss Strengthening Military Ties

Manama:During the 21st meeting of the Bahrain-US Joint Military Committee, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America engaged in discussions to enhance military coordination and defense cooperation. The meeting took place at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini delegation was led by Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs. The US delegation was headed by Michael P. DiMino IV, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Near East and Central Asia.

The agenda centered on reinforcing military ties and exploring ways to advance cooperation, particularly in the military sector. At the meeting's conclusion, both parties signed the minutes of the gathering, marking a commitment to their ongoing collaboration.

The session included the participation of Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Adviser for Financial and Technical Affairs at the BDF General Command, Stephanie L. Hallett, the US Ambassador to Bahrain, and senior BDF officers.
