Tansila Agricultural Volunteers Receive Encouragement for Production Efforts

Tansila:The president of the Tansila Special Delegation, Amadou Coulibaly, visited the agricultural Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland in the commune to assess their agricultural activities and offer encouragement.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this visit is part of the presidential initiative for agricultural production and food self-sufficiency, led by President Ibrahim Traor© of Burkina Faso. During the visit, the volunteers showcased their work on plots dedicated to maize, peanuts, and cowpeas, cultivating one hectare each of maize and peanuts, and three hectares of cowpeas.

The delegation, including the municipal administrator and the local volunteers' coordinator, toured the plots to observe the crops and discuss the farmers' working conditions. Despite challenges such as irregular rainfall and delays in acquiring the planned site, the municipal head praised the volunteers for their adaptability and satisfactory work.

Coulibaly concluded the visit by commending the volunteers' efforts and urging them to continue striving towards food self-sufficiency in both the commune and Burkina Faso.
