Achievements in Secondary Education Mark Four Years of Captain Traoré’s Rule

Koupéla:Kourittenga As the fourth anniversary of Captain Ibrahim Traoré's leadership approaches, Dieudonné Belemsigri, the Provincial Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training in Kourittenga, outlined the sector's progress on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.According to Burkina Information Agency, Belemsigri expressed gratitude for the advancements in secondary education, highlighting a new emphasis on civic and patriotic values. He praised the establishment of the Ministry of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, which aims to merge academic learning with vocational skills for students.Among the notable achievements, Belemsigri pointed to the introduction of compulsory patriotic immersion in secondary education, intended to foster a sense of civic responsibility and national pride among students. He also highlighted a vocational training program that has benefited numerous students in Kourittenga, offering skills in areas such as pastry making and telephone repair .The province has also seen the opening of multipurpose classes in five establishments, allowing students as early as their second year to pursue technical education. Additionally, the Naaba Zanré Technical and Vocational Training College in Koupéla now offers a new scientific series, expanding educational opportunities in the region.Belemsigri mentioned a school security project involving the construction of fences, with Kourita high school in Koupéla being one of the three pilot locations in Burkina Faso. He emphasized the significant progress made in less than four years and encouraged citizens to support the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution to further national development.
