Kona Public Primary School Marks 40th Anniversary with Celebrations

Pilimpikou:Passor/Pilimpikou: The Kona Public Primary School in the commune of Pilimpikou recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, coinciding with the 7th edition of its day of excellence.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was held under the high patronage of the Minister of Basic Education, with the Chief of Staff, Y. Valentin Bouda, representing the minister. Several education officials, including provincial directors, participated in the celebration.

The festivities included the presentation of prizes and school kits to outstanding students to encourage academic excellence within the community. The event also served as a platform to honor education stakeholders who have significantly contributed to the school's history.

Certificates of recognition were presented to former directors and teachers who had served at the institution. Additionally, one of the event's highlights was a donation by Antoine Oudraogo, a native of Kona and CEO of the ELEAZAR Group. He gifted a tricycle ambulance and mattresses to the Kona Health and Social Promotion Center, aiming to enhance the center's capacity and improve healthcare for the local population.
