Dokuy’s Special Delegation Supports Local Defense Volunteers with Essential Food Aid

Dokuy: The special delegation of the commune of Dokuy, led by Abdoul Ouahbidi Sibiri 2 Guingan, has provided vital food aid to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in a gesture aimed at bolstering their efforts in maintaining security within the locality.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation offered a significant consignment of food supplies, which included 52 bags of rice and 5 cans of oil. This donation was made during a symbolic handover ceremony on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. The event underscored the special delegation's commitment to supporting the VDP's mission.

During the ceremony, Abdoul Ouahbidi Sibiri 2 Guingan, the president of the special delegation of Dokuy, expressed his gratitude and support for the VDP. He emphasized the importance of their role in securing the commune and highlighted the significance of the aid. "We came to encourage you and show our support through this symbolic handover of food," he remarked.

Alassane Sidib, the leader of the VDP in Dokuy, expressed his appreciation for the support received from the special delegation. He noted that the supplies were particularly timely, arriving when the VDP was experiencing a shortage of resources.

The ceremony concluded with PDS Guingan urging the VDP to maintain their dedication to the security of the commune, reinforcing the importance of their continued efforts in safeguarding the area.
