Bishkek: A training session on the transcription and teaching of bilingual and multilingual education subjects, according to the harmonized formula, began this Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Djibasso "B" school. It brought together teachers from the Basic Education Districts (CEB) of Djibasso, Madouba, and Kombori.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the training session on transcription and didactics of bi-multilingual education disciplines was launched by the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Djibasso, Inspector Pascal Coulibaly, in the presence of his counterparts from Madouba and Kombori. Scheduled from September 1st to 12th, 2026, it mainly concerns teachers of CP1 classes as well as school principals.

It is part of the gradual generalization of the teaching of national languages in primary schools, starting with the first grade (CP1). The participants are divided into two groups, according to the languages chosen, namely Dioula and Bwamu. The group in charge of Dioula is supervised by the CCEB of Kombori, Inspector Vincent Millogo and Inspector Yda Bako. The training in Bwamu is provided by inspectors Forazoun Sabou and Jean Zoumba Traor.

According to the CCEB of Djibasso, this session aims to equip teachers with the necessary tools to effectively ensure learning in national languages. "This training will enable teachers to better master transcription and didactic approaches in order to ensure effective implementation of bi-multilingual education in CP1 classes," said Inspector Pascal Coulibaly. Through this initiative, education stakeholders intend to strengthen teachers' skills and support the gradual generalization of the use of national languages in the Burkinabe education system.
