Bishkek: The municipality of Bobo-Dioulasso reaffirmed, this Wednesday, its attachment to the symbols of the Nation, on the occasion of the monthly municipal ceremony of raising the national colors, held at the town hall of the district n°3.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was presided over by the First Vice-President of the Special Delegation of the Commune (PDS), Moussa Sanou, representing the PDS. He indicated that this monthly ceremony constitutes "a moment of gathering, communion, and renewal of our commitment" to our beloved homeland, Burkina Faso. "Looking at our flag, let us remember what it represents: our history, our unity, our dignity, and our collective hope," he declared.

The PDS representative reviewed the main activities carried out in the municipality during the month of August. He notably cited the celebration of Burkina Faso's Independence Day on August 5th, which, according to him, provided an opportunity to revisit national history and pay tribute to those who work to build and defend the nation.

Moussa Sanou also mentioned the inauguration of the expansion of the Bobo-Dioulasso thermal power plant and the campaign to destroy mosquito breeding sites as part of the fight against malaria. "Every space cleaned up, every breeding site destroyed, every preventative measure contributes to a healthier city," he asserted, calling on the population to make protecting their living environment a collective responsibility.

The president of the special delegation for district number 3, Kisito Dabir, welcomed the participants and expressed his gratitude to the partners who had supported the district over the past few months. He appealed to those willing to help to support the construction of the town hall fence, with the aim of improving security and preserving the existing facilities.
