Kokologho:A training session focused on media and information literacy was held for 30 young people in the commune of Kokologho on September 29 and 30, 2026.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was organized by the permanent secretariat of YouthKonnect Burkina and aimed to foster responsible and civic use of digital technology among the youth.
During the two-day session, participants were educated on responsibly using social networks and digital tools, combating hate speech, and understanding online disinformation and manipulation.
Genevi¨ve Ayi/Kabr©, from the YouthKonnect Burkina Permanent Secretariat, praised the session's success and encouraged attendees to share their newly acquired knowledge with others who may not have access to such training.
Zakaria Ouedraogo, the youth opportunities officer in Kokologho, also commended the participants. He urged them to engage in personal development and stay informed through official information channels to benefit from government and partner opportunities.
Participants like Th©ophile Kabr© expressed appreciation for the timely training, highlighting its role in understanding the benefits and risks of social networks. Kabr© plans to use the skills gained to promote responsible digital engagement among peers.
