Abu Dhabi:The Ministry in charge of Trade has announced the suspension of the export of cereal flour derived from millet, maize, and sorghum across Burkina Faso's national territory until further notice. This measure aims to ensure the regular availability of these products in the market and to enhance their accessibility for consumers. The announcement was made through a statement signed by Serge Poda, the head of the department.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the issuance of Special Export Authorizations for these products has also been suspended. The Minister of Commerce has urged economic operators, technical services, and security forces at border posts to act with economic patriotism, responsibility, and full cooperation to effectively implement this measure.
The statement warns that anyone who violates this decision will face sanctions according to existing regulations. It also encourages the public to report any non-compliance with the measure using the provided toll-free numbers 80 00 11 84/85/86.
