Kokologho:The commune of Kokologho held a communal day focused on destroying larval breeding sites as part of a public health mission. The event took place on Thursday, October 8, and emphasized patriotic commitment and citizen participation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative is part of the second round of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation, scheduled from October 2 to 16, 2026. The operation began at 0730 and involved the local community in activities such as clearing gutters along National Route 1 and eliminating mosquito nests by weeding and removing stagnant water near public roads and the town's medical center.
Comrade Zérome Yaméogo, president of the special delegation of the commune, led the team participating in the operation. Comrade Jean Golbert Nana, the first vice-president of the Kokologho special delegation, expressed his satisfaction with the community's participation, urging continued patriotism in daily actions. He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in supporting government actions and fostering national commitment.
The event concluded with a presentation on upcoming activities, completing the civic mobilization in one hour and thirty minutes.
