First Sector Police Station Opens in Gaoua to Enhance Security

Gaoua:The governor of the Djôrô region, Siaka Barro, presided over the inauguration ceremony of the first sector police station in sector no. 3 of Gaoua. This initiative aims to bring police services closer to the population and strengthen the city's security system.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Comrade Barro emphasized that the new police station will enhance the security network in Gaoua and throughout the Djôrô region. He encouraged residents to cooperate with security services by providing reliable information to combat insecurity and terrorism.

Governor Barro pledged continued support from administrative authorities to the defense and security forces in fulfilling their duties.

Thierry Dofizouho Tuina, the Director General of the National Police, highlighted that the establishment of the police station is part of efforts to improve the security network and bring police services closer to citizens. He urged police officers to execute their responsibilities with integrity and honesty, avoiding violence, extortion, and corruption to foster trust and cooperation with the community.

Tuina also encouraged residents to use the police station and view it as their service and common home, underscoring the importance of collaboration between police and citizens in addressing security challenges.
