Didri:Koubri The Koubri district police station organized a registration drive in Didri on Saturday to collect applications for biometric identity cards of the Confederation of Sahel States (CIB-AES). This initiative was aimed at the residents of Didri and nearby villages.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the operation is part of a broader effort to strengthen the relationship between the Defense and Security Forces and the local community. The National Police aims to make public services more accessible, especially for those living far from administrative centers.
Led by a team from the police station, the operation commenced at 840 a.m. and concluded at 100 p.m., registering 165 individuals. This effort generated a total revenue of 577,500 CFA francs. The initiative allowed residents to complete their identification formalities locally, alleviating the need to travel to the provincial capital, thereby reducing issues related to distance, transportation costs, and time.
Chief Superintendent of Police Paterne Boussim commended the community for their participation and support. He emphasized that this activity exemplifies the principles of community policing, which focus on accessible services, active listening, and collaboration between security forces and the community.
Boussim highlighted the importance of the CIB-AES as it simplifies various administrative, social, and economic processes. He encouraged the public to continue cooperating with the security forces through vigilance and sharing useful information.
He further stated that security is a shared responsibility that relies on trust, dialogue, and cooperation with the population. By fostering this cohesion, the community and security forces can better ensure the safety of people and their property. The mission concluded successfully, with the team returning to the police station at 350 p.m.
